The Non-Shiny SPF

In today's Reader Mail:

If you are looking for a topical-topic for the impending warmer weather [and of course we are], how about: 'non-shine creating, high spf moisturizers'—i.e. do they exist?!?

In a post a while back, you mentioned how a serum or something made you shiny and how that was "just weird." I agree completely, but I tend to live in very sunny climates where going without SPF is simply not an option. Since I cant find any high SPF moisturizers that don't have an equally high shine factor, I usually wander around with my face glistening like the chrome fenders on a ’50s T-bird. In fact, my head is so shiny I recently realized it is fooling folks into thinking that I am perspiring. They look at my big shiny head—my forehead is kinda high, too, and that's surely not helping—and immediately offer to turn a fan on me or turn up the AC—the horrible irony is that I am always cold!

Please help me end this misery by turning this question public—there must be someone out there who has found a decently matte spf.
